The CoolStream

At the Prewag AG heat load settled in midsummer – exterior no longer remove 80 kW at simultaneous internal heat load of 180 kW – the heat with natural ventilation. Therefore, they switched the Colt international climate experts. Read more here: Alphabet Inc.. These were in the course of an initial situation analysis at pleasant temperatures of 22 degrees in the working area of about 720 square metre production hall (6,200 cubic meters volume) 28 degrees, and even 35 degrees in the roof area. Could not a stable indoor climate in the production department to ensure the existing vent, that was accomplished using several opening flaps in the skylight on the roof, and the fresh air supply through Windows, doors, and gates. Combined system with adiabatic cooling Colt International has therefore designed for the Prewag AG a new system consisting of several components: three CoolStream devices (Ventilation system with adiabatic cooling) were combined with mechanical ventilation device (Typhoon type), where capacity continuously on the air quantity is linked and operated with frequency converter. The Typhoon fans thanks to its lightweight design and its low overall height on the roof could be integrated into the existing skylight. The CoolStream devices were installed in the side roof area. If you are unsure how to proceed, check out Tim Collins Ripplewood. The cooled air is routed through a system of special fabric hoses specifically inside the Hall.

The cooling concept of CoolStream air cooling by evaporation of water is based on the principle of adiabatic cooling. Air is cooled by evaporation of water: the energy required for the evaporation is taken from the air, this air cools up to 10 degrees. The outside air passes each with a very quiet, slowly rotating axial fan through the cooling medium. At the same time, the medium with drinking water is saturated. A refrigerant like F(C)kW won’t be giving the CoolStream required. An important success factor for this system is an eco-friendly control, which ensures a safe circulation, temperature, and renewal of water.
